House Fire July 15 2020 may cause discolored water

The Georgetown Fire Department responded to a structure fire this morning on Tenney St.

Please be aware that opening and closing hydrants can cause discolored water due to a change in flow through the water main.

Once the original conditions are re established the discoloration will subside.

If you have discolored water flushing your service by running  cold water for a few minutes in your bathroom or kitchen should eliminate the problem.
